The Second International meeting organized by CPIA Ravenna was held in Lugo from 13-to 14 May 2019 at CPIA LUGO (Ravenna).
The main purposes of the meeting were:
to monitor the results of the work carried out from each partner,
to discuss the impact of the project on the institutions and students;
to exchange impressions about the first stage of the project and readjust the planning;
to discuss the building and the use of the platform.
The main agenda items were on the first day (13 May) data collection monitoring; Exchanges and comparison of work experiences; First evaluation of the results, feedback from students involved; DiM Project strengths and weaknesses; suggestions for improvement; proposals for dissemination plan of the project and implementation of DiM platform. On the second day (13 May) Collection of the necessary data for intermediate Report; plan and objectives to be achieved for the next phase: tasks and roles; dissemination plan and the Multiplier Event mode; Proposals for the functionalities of the platform for educational purposes. All the partner organizations were present at the meeting. The total number of partecipants was 25.
On the first day Milla Lacchini, CPIA Ravenna headmistress, opened the session with a welcome speech addressed to all the guests attending the meeting; soon after a representative of each partner organization reported on the work carried out in relation to the objectives set for the first year of the project. (the selected language, the reasons of the choice, the division of the work within the team, collecting data processing, problems encountered and feedback of the students). The languages were chosen based on the number of attending students and the needs of the different institutions. They are: Bengali for CPIA Avellino; Wolof for CPIA Ravenna; Bambara for CPIA Benevento; Farsi for Active Citizens Partnership (Greece); Tigrinya for 36,6 Competence, Center (Scotland); Tagalog for Future Focus (Malta), Russian for IMS Research & Development Center, Cyprus.
Some partners pointed out that for African languages there were problems with writing words and definitions. Bambara and Wolof languages are languages known mostly orally and the students have difficulty in writing them. For this reason the best students had the task of writing the words. and providing a definition of them since there are no dictionaries to consult.
From the reports submitted by all partners it emerges that the students who participated in the collection of words were enthusiastic about DiM Project and they appreciated the interest the project has in their mother tongue.
At the end of the meeting, we were invited to the Lugo Municipality to visit the Fortress and its historic garden, the monument of Francesco Baracca, aviator and hero of the II word war and his museum.
